Maiko

The word Maiko literally translates to "dancing child" (mai = dance, ko = child), but is also referred to as "dancing girl". A Maiko is an apprentice Geisha who must must undergo a period of training that generally takes 5 years, where she learns the various "gei" (arts) such as dancing, singing, music etc. before she becomes a Geisha.

I ran across some great stock by ~Sinned-angel-stock and knew I wanted to do a Geisha type of image with one. While doing so I did a bit of research and reading and then I wanted to do a bit more than to just create a Geisha image. I have tried to be somewhat accurate as far as makeup and attire as I could be since I am not the best painter...but I did take a few artistic liberties here and there so forgive me for those.
